Motion

¹ Spotify Wrapped 22

I was responsible for working with the Ae template and creating social guidelines in the master template so the common design elements were consistent and aligned throughout the spots.

  • Execute the motion graphics and render out each assigned spot

  • Update/reflect the Master template with each round of revisions from the client

  • Quality checking all the deliverables before posting to make sure all the copies, colors, and image assets are precise and the motions/placement of assets are consistent

  • Multi-machine rendering on DOOHs so that all the deliverables could be ready in a short span of time to meet the client’s deadline

  • Being thorough with file naming and organization since there were over 100s of files to deliver in different formats, both in mp4 and movs

² Spotify Top 5

I built the 3D album carousels in C4D and to have it comped with other texts/logo elements in Ae. There were two carousels: one with albums standing vertically and the other with the albums flattened.

  • Created 3D carousel animation in C4D and rendered it with redshift

  • Comped 3D assets in Ae and have all the other design assets animated with the music provided

  • Executed any feedback from creative director and clients

  • Rendered out multiple social ratios with cosistency in design/brand and with correct formats for DOOHs

³ Paid Leave For All

#PassPaidLeave

An amazing campaign run by Mother to bring out dark humor about how Paid Leave program in the US is quite ridiculous. I had a great team working on this where I was responsible for creating OOH animations for venues like TSQs, and other BHS motion snippets.

⁴ Chase Pitch Work

  • Create design concepts that are specific for the pitch work; working within the brand guideline and following the direction from the creative director based on the ref/feedback

  • Execute the motion design that matches the overall concept of the pitch to enhance the idea behind it

  • Work with the team to push out quality work on a time-sensitive deadline

⁵ Obsessed

Obsessed was an internal project which was a case study on futuristic clothing products. These are my design/3D elements explorations. We were provided with a limited color palette and the temporary mock-up brand name “SRFC” for a placeholder.

  • Build out an asset library of 3d elements for the team to utilize and work with

  • Explore motions and design languages based on the concept and feedback from the creative director

⁶ ACLU

  • Execute motion designs on the shots that I was assigned on the spot

  • Work with Ai, psd files that were provided by the design/illustration team

  • Track motions on live-action footage to match the motion to the video

⁷ WhatsApp

Interactive Motion Explorations

  • Created motion explorations for emojis and UI icons for the app

  • Followed the creative direction from the lead to match WhatsApp’s brand guidelines, where they wanted a cleaner and more minimalistic approach to their assets being animated

  • Executed different options in terms of motion languages for the client to see the difference in how motions would work in each scenario

For Ford’s electric car pitch, my main task was creating design frames and style explorations. We were provided with the copy where I designed a few layout and composition options with the motion to be added later in mind. Since it was a quick turnaround for the pitch, we did not have much time to explore motions but still, these designs were within Frod’s branding guideline and their brief.

⁸ Ford

Ford provided us with two main electric cars to be considered. We were exploring different design languages to find a style that still reflected realistic ratios and specific car features like headlights, but still had a fun 2D-ness.
