Robinhood Futures GTM

Role: Motion designer
Surfaces: Dotcom · In-app · Social

As Robinhood introduced Futures trading for the first time, our team supported the Go-To-Market campaign across product, dotcom, and social surfaces.

I was responsible for designing and animating one of the supporting 3D card assets featured on the Dotcom product page, which showcased what customers can trade with on Robinhood Futures. This asset was delivered in both static and motion, and later adapted for social campaigns for organic and performance marketing to help generate momentum and excitement leading up to launch.

I also created Lottie animations for the in-app product value props—using Robinhood’s updated branding system with abstract, minimal illustrations to symbolically communicate the key features of the Futures product.

Dotcom 3D Cards

For the Futures product page, I designed a supporting 3D card visual to highlight the different trading options available on Robinhood. The asset was requested as a static render to fit seamlessly into the site’s layout, and was built using the new brand illustration system—pairing abstract 3D elements with symbolic references to each market category.

Social

The 3D card asset was adapted for Robinhood’s social channels, redesigned as a looping carousel to showcase a rotation of Futures trading options. Given the vertical format of social, the layout was restructured for clarity and impact. I introduced energetic swipe animations to evoke a bold, dynamic feel—bringing more movement and momentum to the visual narrative.

This visual system was also repurposed across performance marketing assets and other marketing surfaces, helping to maintain consistency and recognition across the entire campaign ecosystem.

In-app Lotties

We created a total of 4 Lottie animations to highlight the key value props within the Futures onboarding flow. I was responsible for designing and delivering these animations in both light and dark modes, ensuring consistency in canvas size, stroke width, and motion style. Each animation starts from a blank state and plays once to keep the experience smooth and unobtrusive.

I also collaborated closely with engineers on both iOS and Android to troubleshoot and resolve any implementation issues, ensuring flawless performance across platforms.
